Morning Pick Me Up
Updated: Mar 26, 2019
I like to start my mornings finding inspiration to keep me centered.
Are you crazy busy?
Me too. But I find I can navigate the chaos of life best when I take time in the morning to center myself, remembering that there's a great big God that holds everything together. Focusing on how amazing He is, His ability, His grace and love fills me with truth. With much needed peace.
I don't know about you, but I'm forgetful. I need the remembering, the centering, every single day. Multiple times a day.
Have you ever heard that verse "Be still and know that I am God?" It's from Psalm 46:10. In the NASB version "Be still" is translated "Cease striving."
Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
There's a little shift in perspective.
Whatever is on your plate, take a moment and cease striving. Be still. Rest in the presence of a God who's crazy about you.
Being filled with His presence means you'll have so much more freedom to love others deeply, to serve others cheerfully, to forgive others more readily. Ya can't give away what you don't have. So take some time to open your heart and receive.
He's got this!
Join me here on Mondays for a little devotional and some motivation for the week!
